Raining Sunshine

Last week, most of the city that I live in was flooded. I started working on a piece that had to do with rain because of it but I didn't want it depressing. (I know - shocking!)  So I came up with this sunny colored canvas.  

When I finished painting, it felt like it was just the beginning, and that it needed to be the background for something.  

Enter my Jiminy Cricket attitude and one canvas will soon become two and I'll be freelancing for Hallmark greeting cards.
