The Boss said it was okay

I just listened to an interview with Bruce Springsteen where he said he sometimes shelved ideas for 10 years. Now I’m not feeling so bad taking as long as I did with this piece.

It seems like a 155 years ago, my friend Esmeralda described me as someone having a committee meeting in my head. A very accurate description of me and others who are trying to make a tough decision.

Coming up with the head was easy. The hair had to be wire. The inside of the head was a little tougher, couldn't decide what I wanted on the “walls of the brain” or what colors to use. Then it hit me, it had to be gray because gray matter - duh!

What about the base? Busy or not busy?

How many members on the committee? An even number or odd? What should be on the table? Specific questions or random marks? Should I have some hidden messages or not? Should I put little legs on it or leave the base flat? Matte finish or should it shine? Are you still reading all these questions or have you moved on to the next paragraph?

Now all that’s left to do is name it. I’m thinking of calling it Committee Meeting (in my head) but I’ll need to have a meeting on that.
