You and me

I painted this on a mirror because I wanted the face to reflect who was looking at it.

I finished it last week, but didn’t post it to my public accounts because I was afraid of…I don’t know what I was afraid of. Offending people, being a controversial artist, pissing people off, losing friends??

But I’ve since had one of those committee meetings in my head and have decided I don’t care about those things. I care about all the issues that scare the shit out of me every morning when I read the news. I don’t have to go into it here, we all know what a mess we are in.

I don’t have any answers. I just know that in order for things to change, we need to see that we are the only ones that put us here. And we are the only ones that can get us out of here. We are all going to have to be better to each other.

What’s that golden rule, common thread that all religions have in one form or another? Do unto others!

Its a simple rule to follow. Just put yourself in their shoes and ask yourself how you would want to be treated. It’s that easy.
